Our team at IT-oLogy thanks our veterans who have bravely served our country! We appreciate everything that you have given and sacrificed for us. We’re proud to announce today the Workforce Re-entry Assistance for Veterans program that will kick off in early 2020 – thanks to funding by the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation!
IT-oLogy will be training and preparing a pool of military veterans to re-enter the workforce by offering IT certification courses at no cost to the participant.
IT-oLogy offers industry leading certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL). Gaining one of these certifications is a step towards a career in the IT field. Our state is dependent on filling these open IT roles, and IT-oLogy recognizes military veterans as ideal candidates to succeed in the IT field.
The field of information technology is one that does not always require a traditional 4-year degree. Often, an industry recognized certification in combination with previous work experience are what employers are looking for. IT-oLogy offers three levels of industry recognized CompTIA certifications for beginning technicians to technical management training.
Participants will partake in boot camp-style courses led by a certified instructor at IT-oLogy. Once the students have completed the course, they are eligible to take the required exam (exam vouchers are included with the course). In addition to the certification course, participants will also participate in IT-specific soft skills classes that include topics like teamwork, collaboration, problem solving and communication. This program is also open to the spouses/partners of veterans.
