IT Career Development Accelerator

In response to The State of IT Research and Summit in 2017, IT-oLogy is launching new IT Career Development programs for 2018 to equip talent with the relevant technical and soft skills SC employers are looking for.  The free event will be held from 9am – 2pm featuring presentations on each of our IT Career Development programs.  Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

IT-oLogy’s IT career development workshops and certification trainings are designed to help you recruit, renew and retain top IT talent. Topics include:

10:45 a.m. ITIL Certification – Information Technology Infrastructure Library: Tammy Mainwaring, President

ITIL is ranked 8th as the best, highest paying IT certification and most widely accepted approach to IT service management in the world. ITIL provides a cohesive collection of best practices, drawn from the public and private sectors internationally.

11:30 p.m. CompTIA IT Certifications – A+, Network+, Security+: David Moses, IT Career Development Program Manager

CompTIA certifications are the preferred qualifying credential and industry standard for IT technical support and IT operational roles. These courses provide foundational and essential IT skills across a variety of devices, operating systems, networks and operational security.

12:15 p.m. Networking Lunch Break

1:00 p.m. IT Soft Skills: Bonnie Kelly, IT Business Consultant

In addition to technical skills and experience, employers are seeking strong IT soft skills, i.e., communication, collaboration, interpersonal skills, internal and external customer service, critical thinking, problem-solving, professionalism and business acumen.
