IT-oLogy Selected as a 2021 InnoVision Education Award Finalist
Columbia, S.C.—(August 20, 2021)—IT-oLogy is one of three finalists selected for the InnoVision Education Award this year for its “ITIL-In-A-Box” innovation. The InnoVision Education Award is awarded to an organization that demonstrates an innovative application of technology to improve South Carolina education.
In March 2021, IT-oLogy led a group of U.S. military veterans through a live instructor-led IT certification program to obtain the Information Technology Infrastructure Library Foundation certification (ITIL 4) with the help of “ITIL-In-A-Box”. IT-oLogy developed “ITIL-In-A-Box” as a new resources to provide Veterans a safe and innovative learning option during the pandemic.
Veterans used their “ITIL-In-A-Box” supply kits to gain access to IT-oLogy’s virtual platform where they joined other students and IT-oLogy’s instructors for a live, interactive, engaging workshop. All gadgetry and supplies included in the box were kept by the students to continue learning at home. Through this method, IT-oLogy was able to comply with all COVID-19 regulations while providing thorough instruction.
“IT-oLogy is proud to be recognized as a finalist for the InnoVison Education Award. We created “ITIL-In-A-Box” so people could continue to learn and grow while maintaining safety during the pandemic, and we’ve found that this type of learning can be very effective and enjoyable,” said Tammy Mainwaring, President of IT-oLogy.
IT-oLogy, along with the other finalists of this category, will speak on their nominated innovations on October 5, 2021 at 4 p.m. during a “Meet the Finalists” virtual celebration.
