IT-oLogy Welcomes New Faces!

We are excited to welcome a few new faces to the IT-oLogy team!

Meet Tamikah Battle, Project Coordinator

Tamikah BattleTamikah comes to IT-oLogy with more than ten years experience in education where she has served as a teacher, facilitator, grant administrator and coordinator for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) programs.  A native of New Jersey, Tamikah has made Columbia her new home with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Benedict College and a Masters Degree from Columbia College.   As a Program Coordinator, Tamikah has a passion for STEM Education and embrace the opportunity to be a part of a team who Promote IT, Teach TI, and Grow IT.  Tamikah is the contact person for the GRIT program. 

Meet Bethany Human, Campus Relations Manager

Bethany HumanBethany comes to IT-oLogy with more than 7 years of experience in the corporate, non-profit, and academic arenas. She is a proud graduate of the University of South Carolina’s journalism school and a native of Dallas, TX. Bethany will connect students to IT internships through the Next Generation IT Internship Program and serve as the administrator for the IT Gateway, an online portal that connects employers with qualified IT candidates.

 

Meet Whitney Williams, Office & Volunteer Coordinator

Whitney WilliamsWhitney is a graduate of the University of South Carolina’s School of Journalism and Mass Communications. Hailing from Lincolnton, North Carolina, she has lived in Columbia for 5 years and comes to IT-oLogy with experience in marketing, fundraising, and book publishing. In her free time she enjoys reading, crafting, and baking. Whitney is always striving to find time for yoga and is a lover of all sports. Whitney will handle the administrative tasks, as well as develop and maintain the volunteer program.

Meet Emily Lott, Communications Assistant

Emily is a junior marketing major (PR/Communications minor) at USC. She was born and raised in Columbia, SC, though she did a short stint in Ohio when she was a toddler. She graduated from Richland Northeast High School in 2010, where she played on the tennis team and was the editor-in-chief of the student-run newspaper. Emily is a member of the AMA at USC. Emily will be assisting the communications department.
