About

The Regional Autonomous Robotics Circuit (RARC) is a series of three robotics competitions for students in grades three through twelve developed by the Cyber Innovation Center. The competitions build upon one another and allow students to showcase their STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) and cyber skills by competing against other students in their division (elementary, middle and high school) in a series of STEM and liberal arts challenges.

RARC teams consist of three to six students from the same division (elementary, middle, or high school). The minimal RARC registration fees allow schools/organizations to send one or multiple teams to the competitions so that numerous students can benefit from this informal learning opportunity. Schools wishing to participate in RARC can build a robotics club in which students learn the robot platform and the cyber, STEM, and 21st century skills necessary to be successful at the competitions. In addition to robotics clubs, schools can integrate RARC lessons into existing STEM classes.

The competitions are designed for the LEGO® Mindstorms® (NXT or EV3) platform for the elementary and middle school divisions, while the high school division uses the ParallaxTM Boe-Bot platform.

RARC competitions are ideal for the beginner. These events are a fun and effective way to introduce ALL students to robotics. Any interested student should join a team and join the fun!
