Cyber Saturday – Drone Building Workshop
April 21 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
During our December, 2017 Cyber Saturday workshop, students designed a drone frame using the Python programming language. In addition to learn a new programming language, students were able to apply their geometry skills by:
Creating simple objects from basic geometric shapes.
Moving and rotating objects in 3D.
Creating complex objects from sets of simple objects.
Copying objects, and mirroring them across lines of symmetry.
Extruding or stretching 2D objects to 3D
The next step is to build a drone! The students’ design will be 3D printed and used to assemble a working drone during the Drone Building Workshop. The registration fee includes the additional parts needed to complete the drone building process. Ticket sales end April 7th in order to allow time for parts delivery.
Includes registration and drone parts:
- control unit
- Li-Po batteries and charger
- Remote Control Transmitter
If you would like to register for this Drone Build workshop, but did not attend the Drone Frame programming workshop in December, a drone frame will be 3D printed for you once your registration is complete.
Note: No refunds for tickets within seven days of event
