Congratulations to our first Course Power graduate of Benedict College: Darris M. Thomas. Darris received his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)degree in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations and a Minor in Applied Computing from Benedict College on May 9, 2015 at the Charlie W. Johnson Stadium of Benedict College. He is a member of Pi Sigma Alpha National Political Science honor society. Currently, he is working as an Americorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) on the campus of Benedict College this summer. In August, this hardworking, young man will be entering graduate school for his Masters degree in Public Administration (M.P.A.) at the University of San Francisco School of Management in San Francisco, California. His long-term goals are to obtain his law degree in addition to his M.P.A. degree, and after passing the bar exam he hopes to start working as an attorney specializing in intellectual property law, tax law, bankruptcy, business litigation, white-collar crime, and corporate and securities litigation for either a private law firm or for the government. In addition, he hopes to run for a position as a federal judge in South Carolina.
