These trends have made it imperative that everyone should possess some sort of digital skill to make themselves relevant at their workplace. Companies know this much and use social media as a major marketing tool. Knowledge of various social media management systems is a valuable addition to your resume because it shows that you have the requisite skills to target potential clients on social media platforms. Companies also use social media platforms to engage their customers, have conversations about their brands and get valuable feedback which they use to improve their products.

5. Cybersecurity

As more and more of the world’s population and business organizations are moving their operations online or having some form of digital presence, cybersecurity is equally becoming more important by the day. About 10 years ago, cybercrime was mostly associated with high school children hacking their school systems, a lot has changed since then. Cyber criminals are getting more sophisticated by the day and are the reasons for corporations making millions in losses each year. This makes cyber security a very important skill for one looking to make themselves more marketable in the current largely digital economy we live in. Saying that you have the requisite skills to help prevent cyber-attacks in your resume goes a long way to add value to your resume.
